Industrial Manufacturing
Herzog Fox & Neeman's Industrial Manufacturing practice recognizes the complexity of navigating regulation governing industrial operations and energy production activities. The practice assists domestic business sector clients and international corporations doing business in Israel in identifying and successfully addressing operations-related regulatory risks, which arise both during day-to-day operations and in the course of corporate transactions and financings.
The practice advises major Israeli and international corporations in a broad range of sectors: chemicals, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, plastics, textile, food and beverage, printing, fabricated metals, electronics and semiconductors, desalination, waste treatment, energy production, oil and gas, communications and transportation.
The industrial, energy and infrastructure sectors are burdened with a broad array of rules and regulations administered by numerous government agencies which oversee all aspects of operations: from business licensing, planning and zoning - to environment, health and safety - to energy efficiency and water conservation. Herzog Fox & Neeman's Industrial Manufacturing practice maintains excellent long-standing working relationships with relevant government entities and engages in professional dialogue with regulators when applying for operational licenses and permits and negotiating their terms.
The team has extensive experience in drafting internal operational compliance programs and overseeing complex crisis management situations, including representation of industrial facilities and their officers before investigative tribunals and in criminal proceedings.
The practice has also been involved in many of Israel's most notable M&A transactions, financings and offerings, advising both domestic and international clients on operational and regulatory risk management aspects.
Herzog Fox & Neeman's Industrial Manufacturing practice members are regularly invited to contribute to government position papers on regulatory and licensing policy initiatives and to participate in legislative committees on related matters. The team has recently taken part in a number of government committees drafting the Israeli Integrated Permitting Law, as representatives of the business sector.
