HISTORY

The firm was founded in 1972 by three prominent lawyers: the late Chaim Herzog, later to become the sixth President of the State of Israel, Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations, and Member of the Israeli Parliament; the late Michael Fox, known for his corporate work and his legal contributions to the development of the infrastructure, energy and natural resources of Israel; and the late Dr. Yaakov Neeman, author of numerous books and articles on tax law and respected tax advisor, who served as the former Minister of Finance and Minister of Justice.

OUR ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

As Israel’s leading law firm, we strive to outdo in all aspects of our operations.

Providing excellent legal services involve impacting our environment – by the resources we consume,  the transportation we use and the waste we generate.

We acknowledge that a part of these impacts are unavoidable. Nonetheless. We are committed to identify and minimize them as best we can, without compromising on our trade-mark skills and expertise. We thus acknowledge that protecting our environment is our duty to our community, clients and employees.

We therefore act with respect to the following:

  1. Rising awareness to our environmental implications and to this policy among the firm’s employees, visitors and clients.
  2. Reduce the waste created by the activities of the firm carbon footprint – via source reduction, reduction of usage of single-use plastics, re-use and recycle of waste.
  3. Reduce the firm’s carbon footprint – by promoting energy and transportation efficiency.
  4. Support sustainable business and procurement of beneficial environmental products and services.
  5. Applying environmental factors in the firm’s over-all operations, providing relevancy and applicability.
  6. Setting environmental goals for continuous advancement.

 

This policy should be accessible to all our clients and employees in our various means of communication.

The policy will be re-examined on an annual basis or more frequently, as needed.

PRO BONO

We believe that the firm and its legal team, carry the obligation to contribute from our time and experience toward providing legal services that serve the community as a whole. The firm encourages all lawyers to participate in pro bono matters.

Our experience over the years has demonstrated that contributing to our community is mutually beneficial. Our pro bono matters and the social responsibility that comes with them provide unique opportunities for our Israeli lawyers to explore new fields in the legal world, expand their horizons, further understand the local and global environment in which they operate and experience a higher sense of satisfaction and fulfillment.
