Herzog Fox & Neeman’s International Trade & National Security department is the premier practice in this field in Israel, and was established to provide clients with specialist advice and support with respect to the unique regulatory and transactional issues arising in connection with these matters.
The department’s scope of work covers both the commercial and regulatory aspects of the industries.
On the commercial side, the department has extensive experience in structuring, drafting and negotiating complex contracts in the fields of defence (land, air and sea – including shipbuilding), civil and military aerospace (commercial airlines, business jets, military aircraft, unmanned air vehicles and satellites) and homeland security. Such contracts include: joint ventures; consortiums; strategic teaming agreements; government-industry alliances; transfer and establishment of production facilities; development and joint development; purchasing, licensing and protection of technology; project finance, insurance and subrogation; distributorship; agency and consultancy; loan and leasing of equipment; sale and lease-back; overhaul and maintenance of commercial aircraft and engines; and transactions for the sale and purchase of sophisticated hardware, software, technology and services.
On the regulatory side, Herzog Fox & Neeman is the only law firm in Israel to have a dedicated practice, specialising in advising and supporting clients in issues relating to export control permits and licences, agency and brokering permits, offset agreements, anti-corruption and bribery programs and cryptography permits.
