Gilad Majerowicz

Gilad Majerowicz is a senior partner at Herzog’s Commercial Department and Co-Head of the firm’s Asia Practice responsible for the firm’s Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Thailand desks.

Gilad regularly represents international and local clients in transactions in Israel and across the globe in connection with investments and M&A transactions, strategic collaborations, IT projects, content and technology licensing, e-commerce initiatives and other commercial matters.

In addition, Gilad has extensive experience advising Asian clients on their activity in Israel, including M&A transactions, the establishment of innovation centers, complex commercial agreements, and more.

Gilad frequently lectures on the business and legal aspects of collaborations with Israeli tech companies in seminars, professional forums, and conferences in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan.

Gilad is the recipient of the prestigious Lexology 2024 Client Choice Award for his work in the M&A field in Israel. He was also ranked Recommended Lawyer in High Tech and Startups by the acclaimed international Legal500 guide.

Prior to joining Herzog, Gilad worked for several years for international law firm Kirkland & Ellis as a member of their New York office’s Technology Transactions Group, where he represented technology companies and financial institutions in transactions involving technology and content licensing, outsourcing, and internet initiatives.

In addition to his role at Herzog, Gilad also serves as Chairman of the Israel Japan Chamber of Commerce, where he fosters relations with government bodies leading figures in the private sector in Japan and Israel, with the goal of establishing business ties between the countries.

Gilad holds an LL.M. degree from NYU School of Law, where he served as a graduate editor of the New York University Journal of International Law and Politics.

- Advised Adama Agriculture Solutions on its $520 million sale of a crop protection product portfolio to Nufarm, an Australia-based agricultural chemical company.     
- Advised Volkswagen on its $300 million investment in Gett, a global on-demand mobility company. 
- Represented the U.S-based software company Perforce Software Inc. in its acquisition of the Israeli software solutions company Perfecto Mobile Ltd.
- Advised a leading Japanese provider of IT solutions and services on various matters related to the establishment of its innovation center in Israel.
- Represented a leading Japanese conglomerate in its acquisition of an Israeli-based agro-technology company.
- Advised a leading Korean gaming company in its potential multibillion-dollar acquisition of a leading Israeli online gaming company.
- Advised a leading Japanese conglomerate in establishment of a first-of-its-kind capital funding and collaboration platform focusing exclusively on the Israeli market.
- Represented a leading Japanese system-on-chip company in its investment and strategic collaboration agreement with an Israeli technology company in the area of video processing.
- Represented a leading Japanese conglomerate in various investments in Israeli technology companies in areas such as cyber security, agro-technology, and medical device. 
- Represented a leading global provider of payment processing solutions in various strategic collaboration agreements with retailers, credit card companies, banks and cellular companies in Israel.
- Represented a leading global online gaming company in various strategic collaboration agreements related to its regulated online gaming activity in the U.S.  
- Represented a leading Israeli car leasing group in its franchise and import agreement with a major EU car manufacturer. 
- Represented a U.S. software company in a complex public tender for replacement of core IT infrastructure of a major Israeli public corporation.
- Represented the Israeli Postal Company in a public tender for replacement of core elements of its IT infrastructure.
