Dima Zalyalyeyev


Dima is a member of the Technology & eCommerce Regulation group  and he specializes in advising on various cross-border regulatory and strategic matters related to fintech, blockchain, cryptocurrencies, virtual assets (including NFTs), token issuance, smart contracts, decentralized finance (DeFi), decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), crypto gaming, financial services, online trading, anti-money laundering (AML) and combating the finance of terrorism (CFT), and data privacy. Dima advises a wide range of market players including global crypto exchanges, crypto lending firms, international online trading companies, and providers of innovative payments solutions.

Prior to joining Herzog, Dima held several positions as legal advisor to the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF), acting inter alia as Deputy Head Legal Advisor to the Israeli Air Force (IAF) and the Navy. During his military service, Dima led technology regulation and drones law practice at the IAF and the Navy, as well as initiated the establishment of Privacy Team at the Military Attorney General’s Corps.

Dima is currently pursuing a B.Sc. at Tel Aviv University Faculty of Engineering, and complements his legal advice with a unique tech-savvy approach and a deep understanding of the underlying technologies related to blockchain, machine learning and artificial intelligence, computer vision, cyber security and information systems.
