Welcome to Israel – Traded Foreign Funds Managers

31 May 2022

A significant step towards opening the Israeli capital market to the largest and most professional asset managers in the world!

On May 25, 2020 The Israeli Knesset Finance Committee approved the amendment to the Joint Investment Trust Regulations, encouraging new foreign traded funds to be dual listed on the Tel Aviv stock exchange.

Pursuant to the amendment, listing of traded foreign funds will not be limited to funds that are traded on stock exchanges specified in the Securities Law. The amendment will allow the Israeli Securities Authority (ISA) to grant a permit to offer units of a traded foreign fund to the public in Israel based on examination of quantitative parameters of each exchange along with the applicable exchange Regulations and the ISA’s familiarity with the relevant regulator of each exchange.

The amendment creates a great opportunity for traded foreign funds managers whose funds are listed on leading Stock exchanges such as Euronext, LSEG, Börse Berlin AG, SIX Swiss Exchange, Borsa Italiana and many more to reconsider listing for trading in Israel.

Herzog, Fox & Neeman represent the vast majority of global asset managers, mutual funds and ETFs that are currently registered in Israel, and will be happy to be at your service for any issue in these areas.
