Updates to Covid-19 Regulations for Entry into Israel (May 17, 2022)

17 May 2022

Dear Clients and Colleagues,

We wanted to provide information regarding the Israeli Government’s latest changes to its policies for the entry into Israel. Effective Friday May 20 at midnight (on the night between Friday and Saturday, May 21), the following guidelines will take effect.

For both Israeli citizens and non-citizens, a negative Covid-19 test will not be required prior to a flight or cruise to Israel, or before arriving at an Israeli border crossing. Additionally, negative tests will not be required in order to depart from Israel. However, you are required to inquire about the requirements of a specific cruise or company. Second, the PCR testing mandate for those entering Israel at airports, maritime crossings or land border crossings has been lifted. Third, one is not required to isolate for 24 hours prior to entering Israel. Fourth, the mask mandate for those entering Israel (who have been required to isolate until receipt of a PCR test result) in airports and maritime and land border crossings will be lifted.

The mask mandate during international flights to and from Israel is about to be removed at midnight on the night between May 23 and May 24, 2022.

However, we wish to note that the requirement to fill an entry statement prior to arriving in Israel via air or sea will remain in effect.

We will continue to provide you with updates on any developments.
